Coming back from work one day,
I walked in to the big subway.
I had just received my pay,
I thought it was surely my day.
Filthy graffiti on the walls,
Saw this beauty six foot tall.
I turned round and gave her a call,
I was hoping she’d play ball.
But before!...I could score!
the gleam in her eyes, made me realise!
Now I ain’t gay!...but what could I say?
she was no delight, but a transvestite!

On the subway!...I got ready to run!
On the subway!...I saw that he had a gun!
On the subway!...This sure wasn’t gonna be...any fun.

I should never have turned to look back,
what happened next, was entirely my fault.
I left myself open to an attack,
I’d prefer to have been turned, into a pillar of salt.

On the subway!...on the subway!...on the subway!…ooooohhh!!!

He pulled out the gun at me,
Told me to bring some money.
I had no choice but to agree,
soon as I saw he was a junky.
Friends of his came out from nowhere,
poured lighter fuel into my hair.
They threatened to set me alight,
if I tried to put up a fight.
Well, they took my cash!... made a dash!
police arrived and they saved my life!
Well, I got burnt!...but I guess I learnt!
not to play games with any kind of dame!

On the subway!...I got feeling so sore!
On the subway!...I guess I’ve closed the door!
On the subway!...I ain’t gonna go there…any more.

Tell you the truth he was beautiful,
I had no idea that he was a man.
I’m sure you think that I’m such a fool,
this could easily have happened, to any hot blooded man.

On the subway!...ev’rything can be done!
On the subway!...these days it ain’t no fun!
On the subway!...anything can happen...to anyone.

This story really happened to me,
so don’t think that it’s just a parable.
